The moment she first saw him, she thought to herself, “Yeah, here’s a guy I could marry.”  Years later, that possibility became reality. Not that there was much doubt that Katie & Ryan would make it official. From their theater days in San Luis Obispo to their current time in Oregon (with Katie weathering the cold north a bit better than Ryan, we’d say, likely due to her Minnesotan background), these two have experienced life together and have brought life forth together. Their Aiden is simply adorable. They are indeed teamed well– we really enjoy Ryan sense of humor as well as his deep sincerity (his personalized vows to Katie had us fogging up our camera viewfinders). And Katie’s personality is so very warm and her laugh completely infectious. So it was fitting when poet Pablo Neruda’s “Your Laughter” was read during the ceremony, offering these veritable words: “Take bread away from me, if you wish/ take air away/ but do not take from me your laughter.”

Beautiful and tasty food from Two Cooks Catering (you may have enjoyed their local SLO & Pismo restuarant HoneyMoon Cafe – a favorite morning treat of Michael and Maren).  Of course, thanks to the Dallidet Adobe for offering timeless class with a truly historic setting.  Finally, the flowers were all local natives arranged into gorgeous bouquets by Open Air Flowers.
